Germander speedwell

Germander speedwell is a small perennial herbaceous plant that has dentated leaves growing as pairs on its stem. Its sky-blue flowers have four petals and they bloom in May-August. Germander speedwell forms carpet-like stands.
German speedwell is not demanding considering its habitat. It occurs on meadows, lawns, pastures, yards, clear-cut areas and open forests. Its area of distribution covers northern parts of Europe and Asia.
Germander speedwell can be used to make herb tea and it has also been a medicinal herb for cough mixtures and skin creams.
As a least concern species germander speedwell requires no conservation measures to secure its occurrence.
