The Angular Solomon`s seal is a herbaceous perennial plant with curved growth and broad leaves. The Angular Solomon`s seal is one of the early spring bloomers. Its greenish-white hornlike drooping flowers bloom in May and June. Its blue-green berries that ripen in autumn are toxic.

The plant grows on rocks, gravel, bright ridges, grasslands, and brook groves. Its range includes the whole of Europe and extends through the middle of Russia all the way to Japan.

The angular Solomon`s seal is the subject of many legends and fables, especially in tales related to King Solomon. During periods of food shortage in Finland, its roots have been used as a source of nutrition and as a medical herb. However, other parts of the plant are toxic.

Angular Solomon's seal lives in many key biotopes, including bare rock areas, eskers and groves. These habitats are managed in a way that the key features of them is safeguarded. It preserves the vitality of species occurring naturally in the habitat.
